On Tuesday, 17 February 2026 the European Scientific Advisory Board on Climate Change will publish a new report titled ‘Strengthening resilience to climate change – Recommendations for an effective EU adaptation policy framework’.
Europe is warming roughly twice the global average. As heatwaves, wildfires and floods intensify, effective climate adaptation is increasingly urgent. The Advisory Board’s upcoming report examines how the EU can strengthen adaptation, and outlines recommendations for an EU adaptation policy framework that, alongside rapid mitigation, can ensure a climate-resilient Union. Following the publication, the Advisory Board will host a public webinar on 19 February 2026, at 16:30 CET. The Advisory Board will present the new report, which will be followed by a session with questions from the participants.
You can read more about the upcoming report and how to sign up for the public webinar on ESABCC webpage.
